                 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
                 SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH A. ODELL
                 LEINART FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATIVE TO
                 MAINTAINING THE PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR
                 A CONSIDERATION OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS
                 ($15,000.00), PLUS REASONABLE EXPENSES, FOR A
                 SIX (6) MONTH PERIOD BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 1,
                 1997, THROUGH FEBRUARY 28, 1998.
                
                
                                                    
                
                
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that the Administrator of the Department
       of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to execute a Second
       Amendment to the Agreement with A. Odell Leinart for engineering
       services relative to maintaining the Pavement Management System
       for a consideration of $15,000.00, plus reasonable expenses, for 
a
       six month period beginning September 1, 1997, through February 
28,
       1998.
